Hi, I’m Ethan! I’m currently completing a BSc in Astrophysics and Astronomy. I’ve been tutoring since 2023 and am passionate about helping students understand complex subjects. In my matric year, I achieved five distinctions, including 84% in Accounting, 93% in Afrikaans, 80% in EGD, and 82% in English, as well as strong marks in Mathematics and Physical Science. These results are a testament to my dedication and thorough understanding of these subjects.

My goal as a tutor is to make learning both fun and accessible. I believe that it’s not enough to simply teach the ‘how’—we need to delve into the ‘why’ and explore the deeper meanings behind what we are learning. By helping you grasp these fundamental concepts, I can help you build a solid foundation that will enable you to excel. I am committed to creating a comfortable and engaging learning environment where you feel empowered to ask questions and take on challenges.

Outside of academia, I enjoy a wide range of interests. I am an avid reader and am passionate about improving my media literacy. I’m also a big sports fan, with a love for football and Formula 1. During my university breaks, I often go fishing, which is a great way to relax and reflect. These hobbies have taught me the importance of strategy, patience, and a well-rounded perspective—all skills I bring to our tutoring sessions.
