Hi, I’m Erlene! I am bilingual in Afrikaans and English, and I’ve completed certifications in facilitating learning using a variety of methodologies for the FET phase. With 4 years of tutoring experience, I’ve had the privilege of working with many learners, helping them find confidence and joy in their academic journey. I believe that learning is a deeply personal process, and my goal is always to meet students where they are.

As a tutor, I aim to instill a can-do attitude in my learners by encouraging a positive mindset and showing them that growth is always possible. I take time to understand each learner’s unique style and adapt my teaching to suit them. More than just a tutor, I see myself as a mentor — someone who supports, motivates, and guides learners as they build both knowledge and self-belief.

In my spare time, I enjoy music and have been a dedicated member of a chamber choir for the past five years. I also love reading, especially historical accounts, as they help me understand the world through different perspectives. I bring this same curiosity and appreciation for learning into every lesson, creating an environment where students feel both challenged and supported.
