Hi, I’m Cathy! I’m currently completing a degree in Health Sciences, which allows me to combine my love for science with my passion for helping others. In matric, I achieved excellent results in French, Life Science, and Physical Science. I’ve been tutoring for the past six years, and it’s something I’m truly passionate about — not just for the academic progress, but for the opportunity to guide students on their learning journey. I’m also a first-language French speaker, which allows me to connect with and support students in both English and French.

As a tutor, my goal is to help each student understand their work in a way that makes the most sense to them. I adapt to different learning styles and always aim to explain concepts in a way that’s clear, engaging, and practical. But more than that, I see myself as a cheerleader for my students — someone who supports, encourages, and motivates them to keep chasing their goals. I believe in speaking life into the learners I work with and reminding them that they are capable of so much more than they often realise.

Outside of tutoring, I have a big love for fashion — I enjoy keeping up with different styles and trends and expressing myself through what I wear. I also love walking, hiking, and staying active, as it helps me stay balanced and energized. In quieter moments, you’ll find me reading — whether it’s thought-provoking articles online or exploring topics around religion and personal growth. I believe that staying curious and connected to what inspires you makes you a better learner and a better teacher.
