Hi, I’m Caitlin! I am currently completing a PhD in African Literature, where I explore the richness and diversity of storytelling across the continent. My passion for language and literature began in high school, where I achieved three distinctions in my matric year, including 83% in Afrikaans and 83% in Accounting. I believe that a strong foundation in language and critical thinking is essential for academic success, and I strive to share this perspective with my students.

As a tutor, my goal is to help students achieve their best by providing guidance, encouragement, and tailored support. I work to identify both strengths and weaknesses, ensuring that students build confidence in their abilities while improving in areas they find challenging. Whether it’s refining language skills, mastering difficult concepts, or developing effective study strategies, I aim to create a positive and engaging learning environment where students feel motivated to excel.

In my spare time, I enjoy reading and writing, which allows me to continuously expand my knowledge and explore different perspectives. Literature has always been a source of inspiration for me, and I love sharing that enthusiasm with others. Through tutoring, I hope to instill a love for learning in my students and help them approach their studies with curiosity and determination.
