Hi, I’m Sarah! I hold a Bachelor of Arts degree, majoring in English and Psychology, from the University of Cape Town, along with a Post Graduate Certificate in Education. In my matric year, I earned four distinctions, including 80% for English, 85% for Life Orientation, 84% for Life Sciences, and 82% for Visual Art. These achievements have provided me with a strong academic foundation, which I now use to help high school students succeed in English.

I’m a qualified teacher with six years of teaching experience, and I’ve spent much of that time tutoring students to help them reach their academic goals. As an English tutor, my main focus is to alleviate the pressure students may feel, especially when they have missed key concepts or have weak foundations in the subject. I aim to pinpoint and address any gaps in understanding, so students can feel confident and capable in their abilities.

In my spare time, I enjoy creative arts and crafting, ballroom dancing, and reading. I believe in the power of creativity and balance, and I try to bring that perspective into my teaching. My goal is to make English both accessible and enjoyable for students, helping them see it as a valuable tool for self-expression and communication.
