Hi! I’m Simthandile, and I am a dedicated educator currently completing my Bachelor of Education in Senior and FET (Language Combination). My passion for languages is rooted in my own academic journey; during my matric year, I achieved a distinction with a score of 80% in Afrikaans. I have been actively tutoring since 2019, gaining valuable experience in helping students navigate their curriculum and reach their full potential.

My primary goal as a tutor is to ensure that lessons are both interactive and fun. I understand that many learners struggle to keep up with the fast pace of school and often require more than just a teacher; they need a study partner and a mentor. This approach is reflected in my personal slogan: “your go-to Afrikaans coach who turns ‘ek kan nie’ into ‘ek kan!’” I specialise in breaking down complex topics that students don’t initially understand, providing a supportive environment where they feel comfortable asking questions and building their confidence.

When I’m not tutoring, I stay active and creative to keep my mind sharp. I have a deep love for Teaching and Writing, which allows me to explore language in different forms. I also enjoy Walking to stay refreshed and have a keen interest in Health and Beauty. These hobbies help me maintain a balanced lifestyle, which I believe is essential for being an energetic and focused mentor for my students.
