Hello! I’m Jessica, and I am delighted to share a bit about my background and my passion for teaching. I am currently completing a Bachelors of Education in the Foundation Phase, a journey that has deepened my understanding of how young learners develop. My own academic foundation is solid; during my Matric year, I achieved strong marks in English, Afrikaans, and Economics, which provided me with the versatile skill set I use to support my students today.

I have been tutoring since 2023, and during this time, I have refined an approach that is both optimistic and highly adaptable. My primary goal as a tutor is to help students cultivate a positive mindset towards their education. I believe that school should be a place of discovery rather than a source of anxiety. I aim to challenge my students in a fun, exciting way, ensuring they feel confident and empowered rather than intimidated by new concepts.

Outside of my studies and tutoring, I find balance through simple pleasures. I love reading books, as it has always been my favourite way to relax and unwind. I also value spending quality time with my friends; whether we are heading out or just catching up, it is a wonderful way to take a break, have fun, and create lasting memories. This balance keeps me energised and ready to bring my best self to every tutoring session.
