Hi, I’m Mariska! I’m currently completing my BScAgri in Conservation Ecology, a degree that has given me a deep appreciation for the sciences and a methodical approach to complex problem-solving. In my matric year, I was proud to achieve seven distinctions, including an impressive 87% in Afrikaans, 80% in English, 93% in IT-Java, 85% in Life Science, 88% in Maths, and 82% in Physical Science. My academic background has equipped me with the skills to help students excel in their own subjects.

As a tutor, my goal is to help students improve their marks, but more importantly, to help them truly understand the content. I believe in approaching every session with patience and care, creating a supportive environment where learners feel comfortable asking questions. My aim is to make difficult concepts clear and accessible, empowering students to build confidence and develop a genuine understanding of their work.

Outside of my studies, I love to spend time on my hobbies. I enjoy cooking and experimenting with new recipes, which is a creative way for me to unwind. I also love playing tennis and spending time outdoors, whether it’s at the beach or in nature. Additionally, I find great joy in working on creative projects like scrapbooking and other art projects. These activities help me stay balanced and bring a fresh perspective to my tutoring.
