Hi, I’m Alex! I’m currently completing a Bachelor of Engineering in Civil Engineering, where I enjoy problem-solving and understanding how things work in the real world. In my matric year, I achieved five distinctions, including 95% in Afrikaans, 88% in CAT, 95% in Engineering & Graphic Design, 84% in Life Orientation, and 85% in Mathematics. I also achieved strong marks in English and Physical Science, which helped strengthen my overall academic foundation.

As a tutor, I believe that learning works best in a supportive and respectful environment. I aim to explain concepts with patience and adapt my teaching style to suit each student, as everyone learns differently. I am also comfortable tutoring across different syllabi, which allows me to support students from a range of academic backgrounds. My goal is to help students feel comfortable asking questions, to offer guidance when they need it, and to always put their learning needs first. I do my best to be approachable, reliable, and supportive while helping students build confidence and understanding.

In my spare time, I enjoy staying active through hiking, running, and going to the gym. I also have a big love for animals and enjoy relaxing by watching movies. These interests help me stay balanced and positive, and I bring that same energy and encouragement into my tutoring to make learning a more enjoyable and motivating experience.
