Hello, I’m Jolene, a passionate tutor currently pursuing a BSc in Culinary Science at the University of Pretoria. In my matric year, I achieved three distinctions, notably excelling in Afrikaans, History, and Life Orientation with an impressive 80% in each.

As a tutor, I see myself not only as an academic guide but also as a mentor, prioritizing the overall well-being of my students. I firmly believe that academic success is intricately tied to one’s mental and emotional state, and thus, my approach extends beyond traditional tutoring to encompass the holistic development of the individual. Improving the learner’s attitude towards learning is a key aspect of my teaching philosophy, recognizing that a positive mindset is fundamental to achieving academic excellence.

In my spare time, I indulge in activities that fuel my creativity and well-being. I am an avid reader, finding joy and inspiration in literature. Cooking is not just my academic pursuit but also a beloved hobby, allowing me to experiment with flavors and techniques. Additionally, I find solace in swimming, appreciating the physical and mental rejuvenation it brings.
