Hi, I’m Kiera! I’m currently completing a Bachelor of Education in the Foundation Phase, where I’m gaining the skills and knowledge necessary to support young learners in their educational journey. In my matric year, I achieved two distinctions, which ignited my passion for teaching and motivated me to pursue this path. My experiences during practicals have been incredibly rewarding, and I truly enjoy teaching the subjects that I have chosen to tutor.

As a tutor, my approach depends on the needs of each student. I aim to guide and support them through any difficulties they encounter, ensuring they understand their work and feel confident in their abilities. Lesson planning comes naturally to me, and I understand what it takes to teach effectively. I love helping people, sharing a good laugh, and making learning enjoyable. With my background in South African Sign Language, inclusion and diversity are very important to me, and I always strive to cater to the different needs of my learners.

In my spare time, I have a deep love for literature and enjoy reading fiction, self-help, and books about personal finance. I am particularly interested in childhood development, which is a significant aspect of my degree. My studies in South African Sign Language have opened my eyes to the disability community, fostering a greater understanding of why inclusivity is so vital. I look forward to sharing my passion for learning with my students and helping them grow in their academic journeys.
