Hi! I’m Babette. I am currently completing a BSc in Astrophysics, a field that reflects my deep fascination with how the universe works. In my matric year, I achieved a distinction of 80% in English, alongside strong marks in Afrikaans, Life Science, Maths, Physical Science, and History. These results across both the sciences and humanities provided me with a well-rounded academic background that I have been sharing with students since I began tutoring in 2023.

As a tutor, my primary aim is to add genuine understanding, remain patient, and contribute meaningfully to each learner’s knowledge. I believe that one-on-one tutoring is uniquely beneficial because it allows me to focus specifically on a student’s problem areas. By identifying these gaps early on, I work collaboratively with my students to build those previous weaknesses into newfound strengths, ensuring they feel confident in their own abilities.

In my spare time, I am incredibly passionate about humanities studies, such as Politics, Philosophy, and History, and I hope to one day pursue these subjects further. I also place a high value on finding ways to protect and restore our planet. I am deeply interested in one day being able to work towards making a tangible difference for the future of our environment, balancing my scientific background with a commitment to global sustainability.
