Hi, I’m Philna! I have a warm and bubbly nature, and I absolutely love working with children and helping them shine. In my matric year, I achieved a distinction in English, a subject that has always been close to my heart and one that I enjoy sharing with others. I have been tutoring since 2023, and during this time I’ve discovered just how rewarding it is to watch learners grow in both confidence and ability.

As a tutor, my aim is to meet each learner where they are and guide them towards their full potential. I take pride in being approachable and patient, ensuring that every learner feels supported and encouraged. My role is not only to assist with their current learning abilities, but also to provide the tools and guidance they need to thrive academically and beyond. I believe that learning should feel exciting and achievable, and I love creating that environment for my students.

In my spare time, I have a playful balance of interests—I adore diving into the twists and turns of true crime stories just as much as I lose myself in magical fantasy novels. I also enjoy baking sweet treats and trying out new activities that spark curiosity and creativity. Just as I love experimenting in the kitchen or discovering a new book, I bring the same enthusiasm and sense of adventure to my tutoring.
