Hi, I’m Joy! I’m currently completing a BCom in Economics and Statistics, and I’ve always had a strong passion for learning and problem-solving. In my matric year, I achieved 6 distinctions, including 82% in English Literature, 94% in Mathematics, 95% in AP Maths, 94% in Biology, 97% in Chemistry, and 94% in Physics. These subjects have taught me discipline, curiosity, and the importance of understanding the “why” behind each concept — something I strive to pass on to my students.

As a tutor, my goal is to help students feel confident and capable in their abilities. I know how discouraging it can be to struggle with a subject, and I believe that with the right support and explanation, every learner can succeed. I aim to create a safe and positive learning space where students don’t feel judged for what they don’t know — instead, they feel motivated to grow and improve. Tutoring isn’t just about improving marks — it’s about helping students feel good about themselves.

In my spare time, I love to read — it’s how I unwind, learn new perspectives, and stay curious. I bring this same sense of curiosity and care into my teaching, always encouraging my students to ask questions, think critically, and enjoy the process of learning.
