Hi, I’m Pearl! I have completed an Advanced Diploma in Actuarial Science. In my matric year, I achieved 7 distinctions, including 85% in Xitsonga, 83% in English, 96% in Mathematics, 94% in Life Orientation, 99% in Accounting, 92% in Life Science, and 100% in Physical Science. These achievements reflect my strong academic background and commitment to excellence, which I bring to my tutoring sessions.

With 3 years of tutoring experience, I focus on filling the gaps in what is covered in class, offering advice, and helping students improve their grades to achieve their academic goals. I find great joy in tutoring; there’s nothing more rewarding than helping someone understand a concept they’ve been struggling with and witnessing their confidence grow as a result.

Hi, I’m Cheyenne! I have completed a Bachelor of Arts in Life Performance with a major in stage acting and a sub-major in screen acting. In my matric year, I achieved seven distinctions, including 91% in English, 88% in Afrikaans, 87% in Business Studies, 92% in Drama, 95% in Life Orientation, 83% in Life Science, and 96% in Maths Literacy. My educational background and achievements reflect my dedication to learning and my commitment to helping others succeed.

From 2016 to 2020, I volunteered as a tutor at a low-income school provided by a local church, where I worked with students from Grade 1 through Grade 7. I tutored in various subjects, including English, Afrikaans FAL, Maths, Natural Science, History, Geography, and Life Orientation. My focus was on assisting students who lacked support at home, helping them understand challenging topics and prepare for exams. I also worked with younger students on reading skills and language comprehension. This experience, although informal, was invaluable in shaping my understanding of diverse learning needs. Recently, I have started working with BrightSparkz, where I tutor high school learners, tailoring my approach to meet their specific needs and deepen their understanding of the material.

As a tutor, my role is to identify each student’s unique needs and address any gaps in their knowledge. I aim to make every child feel seen and heard, challenging them with work that extends beyond their current curriculum. My goal is to inspire curiosity and foster a love for learning. Hello, I’m Kyle Botes, and I’m passionate about leveraging technology to solve real-world problems. With an Honours degree in Information Technology from the University of Johannesburg and a solid academic foundation that includes achieving distinctions during my matric year, I’ve embarked on a journey as a Data Science apprentice.
