Jenna N

Hi, I’m Jenna! I’m currently pursuing a Bachelor of Veterinary Science at the University of Pretoria, a journey fueled by my love for animals and a keen interest in their health and well-being. During my matric year, I achieved six distinctions, showcasing my dedication to academic excellence. My scores included an impressive 97% in both Business Studies and Mathematics, 92% in Afrikaans First Additional Language and English, 86% in Life Orientation, and 90% in Life Sciences. These achievements reflect not only my hard work but also my ability to master a range of subjects. As I transition into tutoring, I am eager to share my knowledge and learning strategies with students, helping them achieve their own academic success.

Having experienced the benefits of tutoring firsthand, I understand the value of personalized learning and the difference it can make. I know what it takes to excel academically and the standard required to perform at one’s best. As a tutor, my goal is to go beyond merely helping students understand their coursework. I aim to provide an extra challenge and solidify what has already been taught, ensuring a deep and comprehensive grasp of the material. My approach is to be flexible and accommodating, tailoring each session to the student’s unique needs and schedule. Whether it’s strengthening foundational skills or pushing the boundaries to explore advanced concepts, I am here to support and inspire my students every step of the way.

In my spare time, I am deeply passionate about rhino conservation and have been actively involved with veterinarians working on fertility treatments for these incredible creatures. This hands-on experience not only enhances my knowledge in veterinary science but also aligns with my commitment to making a positive impact in the world. Additionally, I have a strong affinity for working with children. I have been part of the Kid’s Ministry team at my church for several years and volunteered with African Havens, where I enjoyed guiding and nurturing young minds. These experiences have shaped my approach to tutoring, where I aim to create a supportive and engaging learning environment. I’m enthusiastic about helping students reach their full potential and excited to embark on this educational journey together

Hi, I’m MaryLynn Kemp, and I have completed a B.Ed Honours in Computer Integrated Technology and a B.Ed in Intermediate Phase Teaching. With my background as a qualified teacher and extensive tutoring experience, I have developed a strong foundation in supporting both teachers and students to achieve their academic goals.

I have also had the rewarding experience of working with special needs students, such as assisting a young student with a cochlear implant to better understand class instructions. I am skilled at engaging young students who have low concentration spans, ensuring they stay focused and succeed in their learning. As a tutor, my goal is to provide extra support to both the teacher and the child, helping them excel in their educational journey.

I am patient, persistent, and methodical in my approach, ensuring that information is conveyed clearly and comprehensively. My interactive style includes continuously testing students’ knowledge as we progress, making the learning experience both engaging and effective. In my spare time, I enjoy nurturing my love for plants and animals, indulging in poetry and ballroom dancing, and sharing good food and company with friends.
