Firdous M

Hi, I’m Firdous! I have a passion for education and a love for helping students discover their strengths. I hold a major in English and Psychology, along with a Postgraduate Certificate in Education from the University of the Witwatersrand. With three years of teaching experience, I’ve had the opportunity to work with a variety of learners, helping them grow both academically and personally. I believe that every student has a unique way of learning, and my goal as a tutor is to create a supportive and engaging environment where they can thrive.

My teaching approach is all about making learning enjoyable and meaningful. I love using creative and alternative methods to explain concepts, ensuring that students see different perspectives and find what works best for them. I tutor a range of subjects, including Math, Languages, Sciences, and Business, and I strive to make each lesson interactive and engaging. My goal is not just to help students understand their coursework but to inspire a love for learning that lasts beyond the classroom.

Outside of teaching, I have a wide range of interests that keep me inspired. I enjoy fashion, photography, and painting, which fuel my creativity, as well as reading and writing, which strengthen my love for language. Cooking and self-care are also important to me, as they help me maintain balance and personal growth. I believe that education is a lifelong journey, and I bring that same mindset into my tutoring—helping students grow, build confidence, and discover their full potential in a fun and supportive way!

Lubabalo K

I am an artist and educator. I adopted the nickname “Jeffrey” when I was in a metal band in high school, which is where I discovered my passion for sharing information and understanding with others. This is also where I gained my first experience as a tutor in my boarding house. I am now currently studying toward a PGCE qualification as I believe that I can offer a lot to the next generation both in the classroom, and as a tutor. I’ve also been certified by SACE, discovered I’m as good as I think I am when it comes to football coaching and improved the marks of all my tutees. n my free time, I enjoy Art (visual, theatrical, cinematographic), hiking, politics and philosophy.
